This issue proudly features the winning works from the Anthology Creative Awards, our annual celebration of the extraordinary talent of writers and visual artists from around the world. Thank you to everyone who entered, and congratulations to our winners, runners-up and honourable mentions.

In this issue, we travel from the elegant streets of Vienna, following in the footsteps of Johann Strauss II, to Tokyo, where we step beyond the familiar to explore the quietly refined neighbourhood of Azabu-Juban. We continue to Salzburg, where chocolate, coffee and crescendos meet in a sweet symphony, and then to Padua, a city long considered a cradle of artistic and intellectual life.

Turning to the rhythms of everyday living, we consider how small, intentional choices can shape our surroundings and experiences. From creating meaningful moments around the table to embracing the quiet luxury of natural interiors, this issue reflects a growing desire for simplicity, connection and considered living. In a world that often moves too quickly, we also look at the power of slowing down and rediscovering a sense of presence.

Art and culture remain at the heart of Anthology. We visit the Tate Modern’s exhibition tracing how Frida Kahlo became a global icon and an enduring influence on other artists. We also consider the surrealist vision of Schiaparelli at the V&A, before stepping inside the newly opened David Bowie Centre at the V&A East Storehouse, where the archives of one of music’s most influential artists have found their home.

We hope this collection offers both inspiration and pause – moments to reflect, to look at the familiar with fresh eyes and to discover new places along the way. It is, as always, a pleasure to share these stories with you.
