Welcome to Anthology Volume 23. This issue features the winning works from the Anthology Creative Awards, an annual celebration of the extraordinary talent of writers and visual artists from across the globe. A sincere thank you to everyone who took part and warmest congratulations to our winners, runners-up and honourable mentions.
In this issue, we travel from the striking contrasts of China, where centuries-old temples sit beside the modern skylines of Shanghai and Chongqing to the creative energy of Seattle, a city known for its culture and innovation. Slowing the pace down, we visit Pontresina, Switzerland, where the Grand Hotel Kronenhof offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Engadin Valley.
We also celebrate the global success of the Council of Irish Fashion Designers, where Irish creativity continues to shine, bringing together heritage craftsmanship and timeless style with a focus on sustainability. Continuing with Ireland’s cultural legacy, we delve into the story of the Brontë family’s Irish roots and follow Charlotte Brontë’s honeymoon to Kilkee in County Clare, a tour that connects literary history with the rugged beauty of the west coast of Ireland.
Art and imagery take centre stage as the Royal Hibernian Academy and Island Photographers co-present an impressive exhibition of contemporary photography’s evolution. Meanwhile, for those in the mood for a city break, we take you to London for a weekend full of culture and excitement and on to Italy’s Eternal Trinity – Florence, Rome and Venice.
